Prerequisites for Entry to Chester Degree Programmes

The prerequisites for the Chester degree programmes are different for IT and Business. Please note that applicants only requireed to have ONE of the listed prerequisites.

Business degree Programme Entry Requirements

BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance / Business Management / Marketing BA Common year 1, OR Pearson BTEC Level 5 HND in Business (Accounting/Marketing) or equivalent.

Computing  (May begin in year 1 or year 2)

BSc (Hons) Computer Science - to go directly to year 1

• Minimum 240-280 UCAS points (GCE ‘A’ Level), OR IB – 26 POINTS, OR University Foundation Course, OR Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in ICT or equivalent

BSc (Hons) Computer Science  - to go directly to year 2

Pearson BTEC Level 5 HND in Computing and Systems Development or equivalent

Programme Delivery Options

• Full time Study • Evening Study  

Assessment

The programmes will engage student in both course based assessment and / or exams.  Although on-course assessment will normally mean writing individual assignments, it may also include group projects, presentations, and other capstone project reports.

Duration of University of Chester Degree Programmes

3 years to complete Level 4, 5 and 6. 2 years to complete Level 5 and 6.

Funding

There are two common funding options available to students.  These are 

Government Scholarships

The government of Brunei Darussalam may provide scholarship assistance to qualified students.  See the administration office at Laksamana College of Business for further details about how to apply for an education scholarship.

Private Funding

Students may self-fund their studies.  Please contact the office at LCB for further details about the cost of studying for different qualifications.
